Beyond was a Hong Kong rock band formed in 1983, but to us, they were a hell lot more than that. Instrumental to the growth of Cantonese rock music, Beyond was THE ultimate band of every Asian teenager in the 1980s to 1990s, from Hong Kong to China, to Taiwan, to Singapore, and even Japan.

WHAT ON EARTH IS A LASERDISC?
The LaserDisc is a home video format born in 1978 and took off mainly in South East Asia. Basically, before Netflix came about, we had LaserDisc video stores. This mother of a disc measured 30cm in diameter, and was partially responsible for all the painful home karaoke singing from audibly handicapped neighbours one used to have to endure.
