Soviet FED-2 Camera

PICTURE PERFECT MOMENTS
Let's pay tribute to the the countless cameras that have come and left, replaced by digital cameras taking way too many narcissistic self portraits with silly poses.

Yeah, we're all guilty of that, aren't we?

THE DETAILS
The FED series was actually named after the founder of Bolshevik secret police, Felix Edmundovich Dzerzhinsky.

Introduced in 1955, FED 2 is a modification of FED- originally a replica of the Leica II which was a German camera series.

While featuring a Contax-like 67 mm coupled rangefinder and film loading mechanism, the FED 2 still preserves the ergonomics of Leica's design and shutter. Not only is FED 2 comfortable to use, it is also one of Soviet's better rangefinder camera series. FED 2 also features a Jupiter 8 2.0/50mm lens.
